A hotel near the Haram: the comfort of being close, at a high price
The 10 hotels we checked, all less than a kilometre from Masjid an-Nabawi, cost €154 to €342 a night for two adults, i.e. €4,301 to €9,579 for 28 nights. The price includes housekeeping and reception; there is usually no kitchen. It is the right choice for a few nights, much less so for a month.
An apartment by the night: cheaper, but further away
Among the offers collected on Booking.com, apartments for two cost €1,001 to €2,157 for 28 nights (median €1,517), and those for five adults €2,803 to €4,205 (median €3,100). Most of them were 2 to 4 km from the Haram in a straight line, i.e. more than 30 minutes on foot for each prayer at the Prophet’s Mosque ﷺ.
Monthly rental: the price of a long stay
A place rented by the month costs much less than 28 nights paid one by one. Our studios are let from €499 a month, our two-bedroom apartments for €699 and €799, and the three-bedroom F4 for €995, 15–20 minutes on foot from Masjid an-Nabawi. Water, electricity, air conditioning and household linen on arrival are included; Wi-Fi is optional.
